Dinnington Town produced a commanding performance on Saturday afternoon, securing an emphatic 5-0 victory over Ollerton Town at the Blackout13.com Arena.
The result continued Dinnington Town’s strong league form, with a controlled display that combined patience, pressure, and composure in front of goal.
We took the lead in the 21st minute through Craig Nelthorpe, whose opener gave Dinnington Town the platform to dictate the tempo.
The home side remained in control for much of the first half, limiting Ollerton Town’s opportunities and moving into the break with a deserved advantage.
After the restart, Dinnington Town continued to dominate possession and territory.
Jay Atkin doubled the lead in the 59th minute to make it 2-0, giving the hosts clear control.
Brad Kerr then added a quickfire double, scoring in the 75th and 81st minutes to put the result beyond doubt.
Jordan Turner returning from injury completed the scoring five minutes from time, making it 5-0 and sealing a memorable afternoon for the home side.
Manager Gary Eades praised the result but maintained high standards after the full-time whistle, saying “We're still not at our best, I think we can perform a lot better, but the result is tremendous and we managed the game very well.”
It was another strong showing from Dinnington Town, who continue to demonstrate their attacking depth and defensive solidity as the season gathers momentum.
