Dinnington Town made it back-to-back wins on the road with a confident 4-1 victory over AFC Phoenix in Tuesday night’s 18:30 kick-off.
The game began at a brisk pace, with the hosts striking first after just eight minutes to edge in front.
But Dinnington Town’s response was immediate. Just three minutes later, Liam Flint levelled the score to bring the visitors back into the contest.
With momentum building, Dinnington Town started to dictate play and their pressure told before the half-hour mark when Brad Kerr found the net to turn the game around at 2-1.
The advantage was extended just before the break as Nathan Jessop struck in the 42nd minute, giving the visitors a commanding 3-1 lead at half-time.
After the interval, Dinnington Town managed the game well.
AFC Phoenix looked for a way back but found clear chances limited, while the visitors stayed disciplined and patient.
The result was put beyond doubt in the 88th minute when Connor Peace added a fourth, sealing an impressive away performance.
By the final whistle, the scoreboard read 4-1, with Dinnington Town collecting another valuable three points to continue their strong start to the campaign.
