Full Time: Dinnington Town 3-0 Hatfield Town

Dinnington Town began their 2025/26 league campaign in perfect fashion, recording a confident 3-0 victory over Hatfield Town in front of a lively home crowd.

It was the ideal start under the new season’s spotlight – three goals, three points, and the first step in what promises to be a competitive campaign.

From the first whistle, Dinnington Town looked sharp, moving the ball with purpose and pinning Hatfield back into their own half.

Patience was key in the opening stages, with the visitors proving stubborn in defence. But as the first half wore on, the breakthrough began to feel inevitable.

It arrived in the 35th minute when Brad Kerr finished beyond the Hatfield goalkeeper.

The roar from the stands told its own story – a mixture of relief and excitement – as the home side took a deserved lead into the break.

Dinnington Town resumed the second half with the same intensity, and just six minutes after the restart, their advantage doubled. Jordan Pilling slotted coolly into the corner to make it 2-0.

The goal gave the hosts a cushion, but they showed no signs of sitting back.

As Hatfield pushed forward in search of a lifeline, spaces began to open up. In the 78th minute, Nathan Jessop sealed the win in style, rifling home from the edge of the area to round off a dominant performance.

By the final whistle, the scoreboard read 3-0 and the smiles on the pitch matched those in the stands. It was the perfect start – three goalscorers, a clean sheet, and the first win under the belt. With momentum building early, Dinnington Town will be eager to carry this form into the weeks ahead.
