Against the backdrop of a much-changed Kinsley Boys side and an injury hit Dinnington Town squad, the hosts produced a spirited and determined performance, showing both attacking intent and resilience in adversity.
Dinnington Town made a bright start and looked sharp from the opening exchanges.
Their early pressure was rewarded in the 17th minute when Josh Stead produced an acrobatic finish to open the scoring, putting Dinnington Town 1–0 ahead and setting the tone for an energetic first half display.
Moments later, the hosts were handed a golden opportunity to extend their lead as Tom Bishop was brought down inside the area. However, Sam Eckhardt saw his penalty saved, leaving the score at 1–0 and allowing Kinsley Boys a route back into the contest.
That opportunity proved pivotal as, somewhat against the run of play, Kinsley Boys levelled in the 29th minute through Bradley Docherty, whose goal brought the score to 1–1.

Dinnington Town responded with real purpose though.
In the 35th minute, Sam Eckhardt made amends as he rifled an effort into the roof of the net to restore the lead at 2–1.
The hosts continued to press and just four minutes later, excellent work down the flank from Cam Evans resulted in an inch-perfect delivery to Eckhardt, who controlled superbly before finishing to make it 3–1 in the 39th minute.
Despite appearing in control, Dinnington Town were pegged back before the interval.
Kinsley Boys demonstrated their league-leading quality as James White struck in the 41st minute, reducing the deficit to 3–2 and ensuring the visitors remained firmly in contention heading into the break.
Emerging for the second half with the game finely poised at 3–2.
Kinsley Boys found an equaliser in the 48th minute. A wickedly deflected effort from Harry Mills wrong footed Steven Booth in goal and brought the score level at 3–3, shifting momentum once again.
The contest became increasingly stretched and Dinnington Town were dealt a further blow midway through the half when their only remaining recognised central defender was forced off through injury. Striker Sam Foulds was required to drop back and partner Jack Cully in an unfamiliar defensive pairing, underlining the hosts’ growing adversity.
Despite this, Dinnington Town continued to press and search for a decisive goal.
As the match entered its closing stages, they created several clear opportunities, narrowly firing wide on two occasions and striking the crossbar as the tension around the Blackout13.com Arena intensified.

Inthe 92nd minute, Jack Cully rose brilliantly from a corner to head home, sending the ball beyond the goalkeeper and putting Dinnington Town 4–3 ahead to secure a dramatic victory.
The final whistle confirmed Dinnington Town’s progression into the semi-finals, marking their second last four appearance of the season and underlining a resilient and determined squad performance in testing circumstances.
