Dinnington Town suffered a setback in their promotion push following a 2–0 defeat away at Harworth Colliery FC in what was billed as a key clash at the top end of the table.
The visitors knew the importance of the fixture but were dealt an early blow when Harworth Colliery were awarded a penalty inside the opening ten minutes.
The hosts converted from the spot on eight minutes to take a 1–0 lead and put Dinnington Town on the back foot.

Despite their efforts to respond, Dinnington Town were unable to reduce the deficit as Harworth Colliery managed the remainder of the contest effectively to secure the points.
