Full Time: Kinsley Boys 3-1 Dinnington Town

Dinnington Town’s promotion hopes suffered a serious setback as they fell to a 3–1 defeat away at Kinsley Boys, marking their second successive league loss.

The result leaves them reliant not only on a return to form but also on favourable outcomes elsewhere if they are to keep their promotion ambitions alive.

From the outset, Dinnington Town struggled to assert themselves against a Kinsley Boys side who made a fast start and took the lead through Jack White in the 13th minute.

The home side quickly built on their advantage, with Lucas Stubbs doubling the lead seven minutes later before White struck again in the 27th minute to make it 3–0.

Despite the early setback, Dinnington Town remained committed and continued to probe for opportunities.

They eventually pulled a goal back late in the game, with Cam Evans converting in the 87th minute to make the scoreline 3–1.

While the goal offered a small consolation, it was too little, too late to alter the outcome.

The defeat leaves Dinnington Town with plenty to reflect on, particularly in terms of their consistency and ability to respond under pressure.

With only a handful of games remaining, they must now hope for a resurgence in form and some luck in other results if promotion is to remain within reach.

Next up, Dinnington Town are at home to Stapenhill in the semi final of the Abacus Lighting Floodlit Cup on Wednesday. Kick-off is at 8:00pm.
