Full Time: Ollerton Town 1-3 Dinnington Town

Dinnington Town showcased their resilience and firepower in a thrilling 3-1 victory away at Ollerton Town on Saturday afternoon.

After falling behind in the second half, the visitors roared back with a quick-fire trio of goals to keep their title ambitions firmly on track.

The game, played at Ollerton's Walesby Lane ground, proved a tough test for Dinnington Town, as the hosts made life difficult from the first whistle.

Despite both teams battling hard in an evenly contested opening 45 minutes, neither side could find the breakthrough, with the first half ending goalless.

Ollerton Town, spurred on by the home crowd, eventually broke the deadlock in the 65th minute.

A well-worked move saw them take the lead, sending a surge of energy through the ground and putting the league leaders under real pressure.

However, Dinnington Town’s response was immediate and emphatic.

Cam Evans was introduced from the bench on the hour mark, and the decision proved to be a masterstroke.

Just seven minutes after coming on and making his return from injury, Evans latched onto a loose ball in the box and fired home to level the game in the 68th minute.

Buoyed by the equaliser, Dinnington Town piled on the pressure, and Evans struck again just five minutes later in the 73rd minute to complete a remarkable turnaround and put the visitors 2-1 ahead.

The drama didn’t end there. Only two minutes later, Dinnington Town delivered the killer blow through Nat Jessop to make it 3-1 in the 75th minute.

The quick succession of goals left Ollerton Town shell-shocked and ensured that Dinnington Town left with all three points.

As the final whistle blew, Dinnington Town celebrated a hard-fought win that highlighted their character and depth. Cam Evans' brace and Jessop's clinical strike underlined the team’s ability to dig deep and find answers when faced with adversity.

Dinnington Town are next in action on Saturday 1st February, at home to Rossington Main Reserves in the Black Dragon Premier Division North. Kick-off is at 3:00pm.
