Dinnington Town continued their excellent league form with a confident 3-1 victory away at local rivals SJR Worksop on Saturday afternoon.
A dominant first-half performance proved decisive as Dinnington Town established control early and maintained composure throughout a competitive encounter.
Dinnington Town took the lead in the 26th minute through Jack Cully, who opened the scoring to reward a strong start.
Just a minute later, Tom Bishop doubled the advantage to make it 2-0, leaving the home side reeling as Dinnington Town pressed with purpose.
Before half-time, Cam Evans added a third in the 41st minute, giving Dinnington Town a commanding 3-0 lead at the interval.
The second half saw SJR Worksop push to get back into the game, and they reduced the deficit in the 71st minute through ex Dinnington Town player Joe Bean.
Despite the hosts’ efforts, Dinnington Town’s defensive structure and game management ensured there was no way back, seeing out the match to secure another valuable three points.
