Full Time: Dinnington Town 3-0 AFC Phoenix

Dinnington Town continued their strong run of form with a controlled and convincing 3–0 home victory over AFC Phoenix at the Blackout13.com Arena, producing a dominant display built on an explosive opening and sustained pressure throughout.

The hosts could not have asked for a better start.

Dinnington Town took the lead inside the opening minute when Tom Bishop struck to make it 1–0, immediately setting the tone for the afternoon and forcing Phoenix onto the back foot.

With momentum firmly established, the early exchanges were played almost exclusively in the visitors’ half.

Phoenix goalkeeper Lewis Oxley was called into action as Dinnington Town pressed aggressively, and the pressure told again on nine minutes when Jordan Turner doubled the advantage to put the hosts 2–0 ahead.

Dinnington Town were full of energy and movement, completely controlling the midfield areas and dictating the tempo of the contest.

Their authority was further underlined when Cameron Evans struck the post from inside the area as the hosts continued to threaten with every forward passage.

The second half followed a similar pattern, with Dinnington Town maintaining their intensity and territorial dominance. Early pressure saw opportunities created down the right flank and sustained spells around the Phoenix penalty area, while the visitors struggled to relieve the pressure.

As the match approached the latter stages, Dinnington Town’s persistence was rewarded again. Nat Jessop added a third on 68 minutes to extend the lead to 3–0 and effectively put the contest beyond doubt, reflecting the hosts’ superiority over the course of the afternoon.

There was little let-up in the closing stages as Dinnington Town continued to manage the game professionally, limiting Phoenix to very few openings and seeing the match out with composure.
